I finished The Wings of the Dove! god what cost me the book. Years ago I met Through Henry James Portrait of a Lady book is on my list of essential. Henry James, the precursor of inner speech of the characters wanders a lot in this book so much that sometimes do not understand what the writer wants to say. The important thing is not the facts but the thoughts of the characters, lack of dialogue makes the book hard to end.
